For summer I love easy sleek ponytails or more romantic braided looks. I'd love to try some of these! What's your favorite?

Bei heißem Sommerwetter mag ich gerne einen schlichten  Pferdeschwanz oder auch etwas romantischer: Flechtfrisuren. Diese hier will ich auch mal versuchen (lang genug sind meine Haare ja, aber mit der Fingerfertigkeit hapert's :)). Was gefällt Euch am besten?

Tech Issues - Google Friend Connect

Funny guys (movie/TV actors) | Über wen ich richtig lachen kann (aus Film & Fernsehen)

I have a special sense of humor - black, sarcarstic but sometimes I just giggle. At the movies I usually laught at other situations like the rest of the audience :) When I think of these men I could bot refrain from laughing. Who makes you scream with laughter?

Ich habe einen schwarzen Humor (hierzulande komme ich mir damit öfter wie ein Alien vor :), im Kino z.B. muss ich immer anderen Stellen lachen als das restliche Publikum. Manchmal kichere ich aber auch einfach nur blöd herum. Diese Schauspieler machen mir aber eigentlich immer gute Laune. Wer bringt Euch dazu Tränen zu lachen?

   Okay - no black humor here :) But he's the idol of my childhood - I can remember rainy days watching his movies with my mom (who loved hin as well). And laughing until we cried from his grimaces.
   Er steht nun wirklich nicht für schwarzen Humor, aber ich liebe seine Filme (Favoriten: "Brust oder Keule" und "Fantomas"-Reihe) seit meiner Kindheit. Ich kann mich erinnern mit meiner Mutter seine Filme gesehen zuhaben und bei jeder Grimasse in brüllendes Lachen verfallen zu sein.

   I adore him - from Monty Python, Fawlty Towers, A Fish Called Wanda to "R" in James Bond. I hope to get to see him live some day.
   Ich bewundere sein komplettes Lebenswerk - Monty Python, Fawlty Towers, Ein Fisch namens Wanda und jetzt "R" in den James Bond Filmen. Ich hoffe, ihn einmal live sehen zu können.

   He's not just funny (Jeves & Wooster with "Dr. House" Hugh Laurie is my fave) he's brilliant in many ways. I recommend his books: Intelligent entertainment at its best!
   Er kann auch anders als lustig (aber Jeeves & Wooster mit "Dr. House" Hugh Laurie ist großartig). Er ist ein toller Schauspieler, englische "Stimme" der Harry Potter Hörspiele und wunderbarer Autor - seine Bücher kann ich nur empfehlen!

   He's an austrian actor and comedian (I HATE this word). I've been to several of his live performances and can't wait to hear the announcement of a new Simon-Brenner-movie.
   Ich war schon auf einigen seiner Live-Auftritte als Comedian (oh Gott, wie ich diese Bezeichnung hasse!) und hoffe, dass endlich ein neuer Simon-Brenner-Film gedreht wird (Hader+Haas = <3).

Taboulé

Yesterday I made some taboulé for dinner - a classic middle east salad made of bulgur (a sort of pre-cooked wheat), parsley and tomatos. Easy to make and it can be pimped with other veggies of your choice, goes also a nice side-dish for BBQs etc.

Gestern abend gab's Taboulé, einen Salat aus Bulgur (vorgekochter Weizenschrot), Petersilie und Tomaten. Ganz einfach und kann leicht mit anderem Gemüse/Rohkost abgewandelt werden. Super auch als Beilage zum Grillen.

4 Servings | 4 Portionen
~1/2 cup bulgur | 150g Bulgur
2 bunches fresh parsley | 2 Bund frische, glatte Petersilie
4 medium tomatos | 4 mittelgroße Tomaten
3 spring onions | 3 Frühlingszwiebeln
mint leafs | ein paar Pfefferminzblätter 
4-6 TS lemon juice (to taste) | 4-6 EL Zitronensaft (je nach Geschmack)
4 TS olive oil | 4 EL Olivenöl
salt, pepper | Salz, schwarzer Pfeffer

Prepare the bulgur by following the directions on the individual package. Chop tomatos (remove pits if desired), spring onion and parsley. If you like add some chopped mint leaves (just a few or it will taste like chewing gum!!!). Mix veggies with bulgur, add oil and lemon juice and season to taste. Done! You can also add pieces of (grilled) veggies like green squash, bell pepper etc. or maybe try some coriander instead of mint.

Den Bulgur nach Packungsanweisung zubereiten. Tomaten (ggf. Kerne entfernen), Frühlingszwiebeln und Petersilie grob hacken. NAch Geshmack auch ein paar Minzblätter (wirklich nur 3-4 sonst schmeckt es wie Kaugummi!) dazu schnippeln. Mit dem Bulgur vermischen, Olivenöl und Zitronensaft dazu, mit Salz und Pfeffer würzen - fertig! Es schmeckt auch mit anderen (gegrilltem) Gemüse sehr lecker, z.B. Paprika oder Zucchini, evtl. mögt Ihr auch Koriander statt Minze dazu.

Current Obsession - Turquoise Jewelry

I used to have turquoise jewelry pieces years ago, but these were more of the folklore style with aged silver (and I wore them with denim shirts and cowboy boots *g*). I recently saw some great pieces with gold details and instantly fell for this beautiful stone again. I think they'll be perfect with an all-white summer outfit. I got to get one!

Ich hatte schon früher mal Türkis-Schmuck, allerdings eher in disem Indianer-Filklore-Stil mit Altsilber (und trug sie zu Boots und Jeans-Hemden *lange her*). Neulich habe ich ein paar wirklich schöne Stücke mit Gold-Details gesehen, die mir sehr gut gefallen. Ich stell sie mir ganz toll zu komplett weißen Sommeroutfits vor. Ich will auch!

Blog News

I hope you have already noticed that I made some small changes to the blog :) First - the new header! Still sleek and simple, nothing too fancy (but I'm still working on the resolution). Pretty much the same for the small design improvements (typo, background color, etc.). I added a formspring box to the left - so feel free to ask me anything! And I also added links to my other "homes" on the web like polyvore, weheartit and pinterest. And here are some news regarding the content - I wrote my first outfit post and there are more to come. And I decided to write some more on music (starting in june). Hope you like it!

Ich hoffe, Euch sind schon ein paar kleine Veränderungen aufgefallen :) Zuerst einmal der neue Header. Immer noch einafch und clean, aber dass mag ich auch so (allerdingsuss ich noch ein wenig die Auflösung optimieren). Einfach gilt auch für die Design-Änderungen (Typo, Hintergrund etc.). Eine Formspring-Box gibts jetzt auch - ich bin bereit ausgefragt zu werden. Außerdem habe ich meine Seiten bei polyvore, weheartit und pinterest verlinkt. Aber auch in Sachen Inhalte geht es in eine etwas neue Richtung - gestern ging mein erster Outfit-Post online und demnächst (ab Juni) gibt es auch mehr zu Musik. Ich hoffe, es gefällt Euch!
