Cool Find - Initiative Sonntagssüß

That's so me - there's a great thing going on in the german (food) blogosphere for one year  (today's the 1st anniversary!) and I find out only some weeks ago... Have you heard of "Initiative Sonntagssüß" (= initiave for a sweet sunday)? Yes? Why didn't you tell me?
If you haven't heard of it - the initiative is about baking and preparing sweet goods for a lovely, sweet weekend - and to spread the news around blogs, pinterest and facebook. Fräulein Text, Lingonsmak and Mat&Mi had the great idea to start this big thing! And because baking is my beloved weekend tradition I know what I'll do next weekend :)

So typisch für mich - da gibt es schon seit einem Jahr (heute ist sogar der 1. Geburtstag!) eine tolle Sache in der deutschen Bloggerwelt und ich bekomme es erst so spät mit: Die grandiose Initiative Sonntagssüß! Von Fräulein Text, Lingonsmak und Mat&Mi erdacht soll die wunderbare Tradition der sonntäglichen Bäckerei aufrechterhaöten werden und das Ergbenis dann der Webgemeinschaft zugänglich machen - zuerst über die teilnehmenden Blogs, dann Pinterest und Facebook. Und weil Backen eine meiner liebsten Wochenendbeschäftigungen ist (so schön entspannend!) mache ich ab nächster Woche ganz sicher mit!

Cool Find - The Burning House

What would you take with you if you'd have to leave your "burning house" - probably your loved persons, but what about "stuff"? This website is all about this question and everybody can upload his or her favorite items as a pic with a little bio and description added. Maybe you have already about it - it's funny, it's personal, it's creative and I love to spy over there! Actually I would not be able to name my fave items to salvage - would you?

Was würdest Du aus Deinem brennenden Haus retten? Vermutlich zuerst Deine Familie, aber wie steht es mit anderen Dingen? Diese Website hat sich dieser Frage gewidmet - herausgekommen ist eine wie ich finde sehr sehenswerte Mischung. Jeder kann ein Foto seiner Lieblingssachen hochladen und dazu eine kurze Beschreibung. Ich sehe mir unheimlich gerne diese z.T. sehr persönlichen Fotos und Geschichten an, auch wenn ich selbst eher nicht in der Lage wäre eine derartige Liste aufzustellen. Könntet Ihr das - oder habt Ihr vielleicht schon etwas dort hochgeladen?

Cool Find - The Impossible Cool

If you're into vintage (mostly black and white) pictures of the real icons of the last century - you got to stop over at this tumblr sometimes. It's indeed impossible cool!

Jeder, der wie ich die Ikonen aus Film und Musik des vergangenen Jahrhunderts verehrt und auf tolle (meist schwarz-weiß) Fotos steht wird hier fündig. Es sind sowohl "Klassiker" als auch weniger bekannte Fotos zu finden - wirklich unglaublich cool!

Cool Find - Emsemble: The Style of Music

Actually, this is not that new (it's from last October) but I just found it and wanted to share. EveryGuyed (hey guys - thats a great resource for your style!) presents ‘Ensemble: The Style of Music’ a series of posters featuring Iconic Outfits from 20 Male Musicians. Designed by Glenn Michael of Moxy Creative House, and illustrated by James Alexander.
I'm a music snob and love how they connected music and fashion as they selected icons that are also famous for a certain wardrobe.

Ganz so neu ist das zwar nicht (Oktober 2010), aber ich bin gerade erst darüber gestolpert und finde es sehr sehenswert. EveryGuyed (übrigens eine tolle Männer-Style-Site!) präsentiert ‘Ensemble: The Style of Music’ eine Poster-Reihe über 20 wegweisende Outfits von männlichen Musikern. Designed von Glenn Michael (Moxy Creative House) und illustriert von James Alexander.

Ich als Musiksnob finde die Wahl der Musiker sehr gelungen - alle stehen in der Tat für einen jeweils ganz bestimmten Stil.

Cool Find - Vizualtech Design E-Type

I'm not into cars (don't tell my hubby :)) as long as they take me from one place to another it's okay. But if money was no object, I'd buy my one and only dream car - a Jaguar e-type.

Ich bin definitiv kein Auto-Freak , es muss mich nur von einem Ort zum anderen bringen, das ist eigentlich genug. Aber ein Traum-Auto habe ich schon: Einen Jaguar E-Type.

Cool Find - Meghan Tonjes

What does it takes for me (aka music snob) to listen to Britney Spears' songs? Well not soooo much - as long as Meghan sings! It's easy to understand why she has so many clicks on youtube. Great voice and a cool interpretation - she deserves to be(come) a star! Ellen (DeGeneres) already invited her to her show.

Wie man mich (= Musik-Snob) dazu bringt mir Britney Spears Songs anzuhören? Gar nicht mal so schwer - solange Meghan die Songs singt! Klar, dass sie soviele Klicks auf youtube hat. Sie hat eine tolle Stimme und interpretiert die Lieder stets mit ihrem eigenen Art - jemand, der Beachtung verdient hat! Sie trat sogar schon in der Show von Ellen (DeGeneres) auf.
